Ori Hofmekler On Fasted Exercise
Rickey Pack asked the question on FaceBook during the Warrior Diet interview: "What does the speaker think about exercising while hungry?"
Exercising intensely (resistance/sprinting) while fasting has a notable biological advantage: It forces your body to increase adaptability to hunger/fasting. Meaning: Your body gets more efficient in converting fat and glycogen stores to energy. Recent study has shown that exercising while fasting yields a greater fat loss than exercising after a meal. But the greatest advantage of this regimes is that it INCREASES your muscles capacity to absorb protein from your recovery meal (as compared to training after a meal). This means that training while fasting POTENTIATES a greater anabolic impact as compared to training after a meal

Should We Take Call-ins On Casual Friday?
Would you call in to get on the air? Part of thechallenge is the analog to digital conversion delay is about one minute so there's a chance that someone could call in and we may have moved on from that topic. I can accommodate that by announcing the upcoming topics at the break so people can start dialing ahead of time. And of course I would accommodate the caller with a question about any topic, on or off topic. I need your feedback. Is it a good idea and would you call in? Thanks! Would You Take Diet Advice From The Guy Who Helped Oprah Winfrey
I spontaneously had to blog about this. Has anyone seen Oprah lately. She is bigger than ever. And she is the poster child for dramatic weight loss and regain. So he's going on and on babbling about the psychology of weight loss. I can't contain myself right now. He's an expert. His credit is Oprah Winfrey. I think I'll stay away from his advice. Psychology, yes, it has something to do with weight loss. When you have gained a lot of weight , losing it is a challenge and takes the same type of determination as any grand task. But staying lean requires the proper food choices and I have a strange feeling Mr. Green has missed that class. I Need Your Feedback: New Super Human Radio Format
I need to hear from the listeners. I am toying with breaking the Podcast into two separate hour segments so people can download single hour files for those who fee the continuous-two-hour show is a bit too long to commit to. I have lots of idesbut none mean anything if the listeners don't like it. Soooo.... I need your feedback now please. Post here in the comments section and no serious idea will be ignored. Thanks for contributing to the success of the show! Sneaky Politicians Have Done What They Do Best
Well, the sneaky politicians have done what they do best – stab their own constituents in the back when there is the least amount of light shining on the political process. Yesterday evening – Sunday evening – around 11:30 pm, the U.S. Senate slapped the so-called Food Safety Modernization Act (S.510) as an amendment onto the “Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Act” (H.R.2751), passed it by unanimous consent, without a vote (because very few Senators were present during the late-night debate on the START Treaty), and sent it back to the House to be approved.
As NHF Lobbyist Lee Bechtel says,
For an excellent analysis of what the Senate Republicans and Democrats did to us, read Sarah Foster’s just-posted article, “Senate Republicans Join Democrats to Pass Food “Safety” Bill,” at http://healthfreedoms.org/food-safety-modernization-act-revived-again-under-the-cover-of-sunday-night/. The Senate Republicans stood by and did absolutely nothing that we could see to stop S.510’s passage as an amendment to a recycling bill. Why are we not really surprised? And as NHF-Canada’s Dee Nicholson has lamented in noting the Canadian and American power brokers’ anti-health agendas in those two countries,
So, what to do about this? The only chance – the smallest of chances – is for each and every one of you to immediately contact your Representative in the House and demand that they vote against the Senate-amended H.R.2751! Tell them you will remember how they vote on this bill. Some others have optimistically suggested you also contact soon-to-be-ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to ask her to oppose H.R.2751. While that is a bit like asking Bill Gates to junk Microsoft and adopt Apple software instead, we suppose anything is possible. Do whatever you think is best to legally stop the S.510 monster. Just do your best! We know it won’t be easy, but health-freedom advocates and opponents of S.510 can prevail. All of you have done a remarkable job of influencing House and Senate legislative decisions up to this point. So, once again, please call your Representative and ask him or her to vote NO on suspension of the rules to pass H.R.2751, with the Senate amendments. Do it now, as the vote could happen soon. Remember, too, that next year there will be reductions in spending levels for the Food and Drug Administration, meaning not only reductions in this year’s spending level for the FDA, but additional reductions in approved spending, if House Republicans do what they say they are going to do. So, the $1.4 billion authorized by S.510 for the FDA will not even come close to being achieved, which means the FDA will have to get funds elsewhere to implement S.510.In short, the beast will be starved to death for at least two years, maybe even longer. But far better to kill the beast now while there is still a chance than to take a chance later. Once again, immediately contact your House of Representatives at (202) 224-3121 to state your firm opposition to S.510/HR2751 http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW.shtml Also, contact Mitch McConnell today at (202) 224-2541 and tell him exactly what you think of this last-minute surrender by the Republicans. http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm |

I'm toying with the idea of taking call-ins for the first time in the shows history on Casual Friday's.
Bob Green is on The Today Show right now talking about how to avoid yo-yo diet and regaining weight. He was introduced with the amazing credential as being Oprah Winfrey's personal trainer and nutritional adviser.
As many of you already know I have gone to a two-hour show for 2011. I want to hear your feedback and thoughts. How do you like the new longer-show? There are lots of variables manipulate: Right now I'm doing a single topic per hour and periodically doing a show focused on different aspects of a single topic.
